Grin and Bare It - Rants of a single non-lesbian woman over 40  ©2011

Picture
Why are we always trying to label people when it comes to love & lovability?!!!
Let's stop grinning & bearing it and start grinning & BARING it! Here I share a few pieces of wisdom I've gathered on my journey through Singledom after 40, touching on everything from holidays to bathroom stall doors to world peace.
An attempt to make you laugh while gently pulling back the curtain on the not-so-laughable exclusions unwittingly built into our system of traditions & celebrations. True to my mantra All for Love & Love for All, this book provides a somewhat unexpected commentary on our labels & the status of love - not anger - in the 21st century.
Solidarity for singletons? Absolutely, but...
Solely for singles? Not as much as you might think. Sized short & sweet, just a little conversation starter. A long over-due one, perhaps...Talk about a study of the performance of everyday life!

All for love & love for all...

Big questions: Is all the world truly a stage? Could anything & everything we do or say actually be a performance choice? Taking performance well beyond a theatre building, this engaging workbook helps you connect performance to all aspects of your life... so you're able to create your own performance activities that explore everything that defines who you are and what you want to do in life.
With upper high school & junior college-level students in mind, the chapters cover 7 key Performance topics: Play, Ritual, Healing, Education, Power, Identity, & my chapter Performance as Everyday Life!
Explore for yourself or share with a class, theatre troupe, sports team, or other  group in your community. It's kind of amazing how deep the rabbit hole goes...
     Fun, eye-opening, & FREE!
